An Engineer's Unlikely Classroom
Most engineers spend their careers solving for X. Manu Pandey decided to spend his solving for something far less predictable — the potential locked inside thousands of students across Bhopal.
Before he was "Sir" to hundreds of IIT JEE and NEET aspirants, Manu Pandey was trained the way every engineer is: to look at a problem, break it into its fundamentals, and build a solution methodically, piece by piece. What he didn't expect was that this exact mindset would become the blueprint for a coaching institute that would go on to redefine how Bhopal's students prepare for competitive exams.

That single belief is the seed from which FOI Classes — Future of India Classes — grew.
From Equations to Education
It would have been easy for Manu Pandey to stay within the world of engineering. Instead, he looked at Bhopal's coaching landscape — dozens of institutes, hundreds of overcrowded batches, thousands of students reduced to seat numbers — and saw a gap nobody was addressing.
Not a gap in study material. Not a gap in faculty qualifications. A gap in direction.
He had watched brilliant, hardworking students walk into JEE and NEET preparation with all the magnitude in the world — late nights, tuition after tuition, sheer grit — but no one helping them convert that effort into the right direction. And in Physics, as he often reminds his students, a vector without direction isn't really going anywhere at all.
So, when Manu Pandey began building his vision for FOI Classes, he made one decision that would define everything that followed:
"I ensured FOI Classes will not just be another coaching institute for IIT JEE, NEET, and CBSE preparation in Bhopal."
Building an Institute Around a Belief, Not a Formula
Most coaching institutes are built around a formula: bigger batches, more branches, louder marketing. Manu Pandey built FOI Classes around a belief instead — that every single student who walks in through the doors of MP Nagar deserves to be seen as an individual, not processed as a number.
That belief shows up in decisions that aren't always the easiest ones commercially:
Smaller batch sizes, even when bigger batches would mean more revenue
Academic mentorship, not just subject-wise teaching
Regular parent-teacher communication, so that no student's progress happens in a silo
A learner-centric classroom culture, where curiosity is invited, not punished
